What is the minimum for a stock bag order?

The minimum for our products is 1 case.

How do I place my order?

We offer four different options for placing your order with TricorBraun Flex.

  1. 1. ONLINE - Create an account and order on online. (www.TricorBraunFlex.com) Just go to the upper right side from our home page.
  2. 2. PHONE - You can place your order by phone, just call 1.800.562.2247 between the hours of 7 am -to- 5:00 pm PST.
  3. 3. EMAIL - Send us your order to us at: CustomerService@TricorBraunFlex.com and we will confirm your order within 24 hours.
  4. 4. FAX - Fax us your order at: 425-990-8582

What is the lead time for stock orders?

Orders usually ship within 24-48 hours after being placed.

Why do you recommend that I receive samples prior to placing my order?

We recommend sending samples prior to placing your order so you can try the bags/pouches with your product and make sure that they will work for your needs prior to committing to a case. Our size descriptions for our items (i.e. “8oz. stand-up pouch”), are based on whole bean coffee, so if your product has a different density, then you will be able to fit a different amount within the “8oz.” bag.

We also recommend that you try the samples with each variety of your product that you offer If you are packaging coffee, please note that the type of roast (light/dark) will affect the fill height. For more information, visit our blog post The Impact of Roast on Fill Height.

Do you have volume discounts?

We do offer volume discounts, which vary depending on the item. Please contact a CSR representative for more details.

Where is your warehouse located?

We ship products from either our main warehouse in Woodinville, WA or our regional warehouses in Lansdale, PA and Des Moines, IA.

Does TricorBraun Flex have shipping discounts?

We offer free Ground service on all stock orders that meet or exceed $350, within the contiguous 48 states.  Bundle your orders and let us take care of the shipping!

Does TricorBraun Flex ship internationally?

Yes. We regularly ship to Europe, Latin America, Africa and various other locations around the globe. We compare shipping quotes with various shipping companies to get you the best possible shipping rate. Additionally, we have distributor partners who carry our product line in Europe and Costa Rica, email Bags@TricorBraunFlex.com for more information. Canada orders now require customer to use their own broker for shipping. Orders to Canda without a broker will not be processed, and refunded.

What is the one-way degassing valve used for?

The most common application of the one-way degassing valve is for fresh roasted coffee. Fresh roasted coffees emit large amounts of gas (CO2) for several days after roasting. At the same time, coffee requires protection from air to maintain its fresh roasted taste. A coffee roaster must seal his coffee in a package that will (1) not allow air to enter the bag to spoil freshness, and (2) will allow the CO2 emitted from coffee to escape out of the bag.

Are there certifications or compliance assurances?

Can we test samples before placing full production orders? Are there bench trials or prototype capabilities?

If needed, you can always request a sample for your usage. Please use the "Contact Us" button on the upper right hand corner of the website.

What packaging features are available beyond what's listed?

We offer other services and features such as valve installation, cutdown, hot stamp, and label application. Feel free to reach out to inquire about any services and projects you may have in mind! What is your sustainability strategy tradeoffs, end-of-life, recyclability?

We can offer up to 40%* PCR content in your packaging, helping you achieve sustainability without compromising on quality. We also carry Biotre as a sustainability option for consumers. Biotre 1.0 is our stock line up item, which features home compostability. Biotre 2.0 and 3.0 are available for full custom projects, and the 3.0 version can be commercially composted.

What logistics or fulfillment support do you offer?

Packing, palletization, shipping options, warehousing, and drop shipping.

What are the shipping terms and costs FOB, freight options, carriers, zones, lead-time for delivery?

Upon order placement during checkout, you can check and see where the order will be shipping from and the costs that will be applied to the order. Our primary carrier is FedEx, and you are also able to choose the speed of which the order will ship out. Orders over 200lbs will typically ship out via LTL carrier, unless an expedited form of shipping is requested.

How do you ensure seal integrity for items requiring long shelf life or moisture/oxygen protection? Any specific testing protocols?

Our bags offer heat seal capabilities, which allows moisture and/Oxygen protection. Depending on your product, we can send you samples to do self testing. 

What happens if there’s a quality issue like returns, reprints, warranty policies, refusal protocols?

If you are experiencing any issues with your product, or if you would like to return your product please reach out to our customer service department, and we will gladly take care of the issue. 

What packaging materials are available and how do they impact barrier properties, shelf life, and recyclability?

We have various packaging materials, including but not limited to Kraft, Biotre, Foil, PET, and laminated structures. Each have their own advantages with barrier properties and shelf life. Our bags are built to ensure the stability of your product.
